It was agreed that only cards (no flowers) would be sent to tutors or members who are ill.

CODE OF CONDUCT
U3A Inner North expects that all members, tutors and other volunteers will behave in a courteous and civilised manner in all dealings relevant to U3A Prospect. As a member of U3A Inner North, you therefore agree to abide by this Code of Conduct.  An outline of the Code of Conduct can be found here.

HOT WEATHER
As a duty of care to its members, U3A Inner North may cancel activities if the maximum temperature for the day is forecast as 38 degrees Celsius or above, as advised by the Board of Meteorology at 6.00pm on the preceding day.
Cancellation is at the discretion of the tutor or group leader due to the varied nature of activities (e.g. whether held indoors with air-conditioning, held outdoors, or involving physical exertion). In the case of cancellation, tutors are to email their classes to inform them.
Tutors and group leaders should remind their class members about this policy at relevant times of the year.
Members are advised to check their messages before activities in hot weather.

MEDICAL EMERGENCY
If anyone collapses at a U3A Inner North course or event, it is our policy to call an ambulance. Members are advised to ensure they have adequate personal Ambulance Insurance to cover any call-out costs.
Your emergency contact person registered with U3AIN will be contacted as appropriate and as soon as possible. It is recommended that they are aware of your pre-existing medical conditions to assist with your medical care.

PHOTOGRAPHY AND PUBLICITY
Any photographs taken at U3A events may be used for publicity purposes. If you do not wish your image to be used, please advise the photographer at that time not to include you and, if possible, move to the sidelines to allow photography of the rest of the group. Failure to do this and notify the secretary in advance of your wishes, implies tacit approval of our policy and your inclusion.
